If you allow a seed of bitterness, envy, or unforgiveness to grow in your heart, you are silencing God's voice in your life. Without God's presence, we cannot know the Lord's comfort and strength. In this sermon, David Wilkerson examines the lives of King Saul and David to show what is necessary for believers to encourage and strengthen ourselves in the Lord. King Saul had once been anointed by God, but he indulged sin that closed him off from spiritual encouragement. By contrast, David constantly turned back to God so that his heart was always open to receive the Lord's resources.

Pastor Wilkerson is absolutely correct. I experienced this in my life. I was Spirit-baptized at 20. I got married and my husband died. I began sinning and then I was possessed by an evil spirit. It was 18 years later that God delivered me. It was nothing but the Grace and the Love of Jesus that delivered me and I received the Holy Spirit again.

I confess my anger, envy, resentment and bitterness. I've been misaligned, slandered, and misunderstood and need to forgive those against me at work. This sin in my life ends today. I can't carry this and walk with Jesus. I know it's the spiritual battle I'm fighting in heavenly places. I accept God's forgiveness and ask God to remove my pain, fear, and anger and restore my peace, and joy. Thank you Jesus for what you did on our behalf to give us access to this divine deliverance. I ask I am able to walk in this humility and send the holy Spirit and break the chain that binds my soul. God sever these works of the devil over me, for sin shall not have dominion over your children. Thank you for restoring my power in Christ, and for setting me free right now, in Jesus name! Amen.
