They don't eat you when they kill you, they drag you to their nest where their queen resides and the queen feeds a fungus they brought here from their planet and in return gives them a type of "fungus bloom". I don't know what it's called but death angels eat that, they are basically like leaf cutter ants but way more gruesome.
