Oppenheimer but it came out and dropped in 2007

It's pretty much been meme'd about since the trailers already that this film would be very fitting with Linkin Park's What I've Done back when that was the ending song to Transformers (2007), and it's been executed already on other videos here before with Oppenheimer (2023).

But I wanted to do my own take that was similar to one of the subjectively best "but it came out in 2007" meme vids, which was Phoenix2706's rendition of the Batman (2022) complete with a mid-credits scene:

And I didn't want to have a plain cut of the ending dialogue like others have done, given the film intersperses swift cuts of graphics showing particles and Earth, and figured why not time it here. I also really, really wanted to at least have some reference to Oppenheimer's "now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds", but sadly Nolan frustratingly decided to have it originate from a throwaway scene in the film (where he's "destroying" someone else instead), and then only harken back to it without as much impact imo, so I had to make do with making it feel like a cliffhanger.

EDIT 01/07/2024: How the project appears in Davinci Resolve for anyone curious.

I love how the movie has a JFK reference like he's gonna be in the sequel

That Kennedy drop shocked me. I'm afraid he will die in the sequel though.

Can't wait for sequence when John F Kennedy walks in to help Oppenheimer

“What I’ve Done” is such a fitting song too within the confines of the films context.

Its amazing how music can completely change the tone of a scene.

Openheimer 2:
*Oppie stands alone in the battlefield about to fight the cold war alone*
John F. Kennedy: on your left

Little known fact: After collaborating with this Movie, Linkin Park members would become fascinated with atomic weapons and the fears of nuclear warfare, leading to their 2010 concept album A Thousand Suns.

Not so fun fact: Oppenheimer died when the Cold war was at its... Well, "Coldest." He died believing he'd truly doomed the world.

But also, this is 🔥

So instead of Christopher Nolan, the film was made by Micheal Bay.

it's crazy they were already sowing the seeds back then with the mid-credits scenes for the plotline that wouldn't be resolved until America: Cold War came out. awesome.

The Nuclear Saga: Rise of Oppenheimer (2007)
The Nuclear Saga: Revenge of The Denied (2009)
The Nuclear Saga: Endgame (2012)

The weird thing is that the theme of this song actually matches the overall vibe of this scene. Two men of science feeling regret over the creation of a horrifying weapon. A weapon with the potential of destroying the whole world.

The irony is that Linkin Park actually quoted Oppenheimer in The Radiance.

ok but I unironically want to see a Michael Bay Oppenheimer movie. i don't care if it turns out bad, i want to see how the maestro of explosions will cover this story
