Calming Swim with My Pet Ducks: Daily Life in the Countryside

We are sisters, Julia and Anastasia Vanderbyl. A few years ago, we began a journey to live a life in perfect harmony with nature. A life of caring for animals, growing fruit, planting trees, gardening, cooking, creating, building and learning to live with the land.
In this time, nature has taught us more than we could have ever imagined.

Our environmental films document the landscape, the lessons we’ve learnt and our work as regenerative farmers here on Bundjalung Country.

We live on the land of the Arakwal and Minjungbal People of the Bundjalung Nation. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country we live on and recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters. We thank them for protecting this rainforest and its ecosystems since time immemorial.

The best seamstress, farmer, mother, and narrator and family historian. You deserve so much credit for what you have and are still accomplishing in your lifetime. That was such an awesome vision and transformation of that old quilted blanket to become such an attractive, stunning cardigan sweater. Great job of raising those ducks, and the flashback of the goats having fun was again priceless. The pasta dish looked good and ofcourse you and Julia are always so very very smart and beautiful. I changed my mind about that swim, and now I would risk it all to have that relaxing swim. Lol Thank you and love you always.❤

Hi Anastasia, Julia and Mother. Thank you for this latest episode of your life. Great to see that Julia is up and about again, following her recent bout of illness. Love watching the young ducklings splashing about in the stream with Anastasia. Love what you did with the old knitted blanket. Both my late Mother and her mother, used to knit blankets like that. My Grandmother used to knit jumpers for all the family; all 13 of us. They made great Christmas and Birthday presents and we all looked forward to what we would get from her next. One jumper she made for me when I was still a teenage schoolboy, lasted me many years and I wore it to death, by which time, it had no elbows and the cuffs and hem were all very tatty. My mother repaired it many times, but eventually, it became a lost cause. Ten years ago, my 'little sister' - who now lives in QLD - knitted me a jumper that was very similar in style and I've been wearing that regularly. it should last me for the rest of my life, all things being equal. As usual, I'm looking forward to next weeks episode. Love, Russ. xxx.
