When it comes to iPad Pro keyboards, these 2 are probably most people's top picks. This isn't the same comparison as it has been in the past, however, as the Combo Touch got some much needed upgrades this year!

To be fair, Bearing in mind that they rank the iPad as a laptop replacement, it’s almost criminal that they don’t put the function keys on the Apple keyboard

My jaw drop and completely sold me when you pulled the keyboard off in the combo touch

I’ve just made the switch from the Apple Magic Keyboard to the Logitech Combo Touch for my new iPad Pro M1 11” and I’m really happy now!

One thought on the „go-anywhere“ aspect. I think that really depends on your type of workflow, because as someone who uses the Pencil a lot, having to completely remove the iPad from the case to write on it and leaving it without protection is a real no-go for me, especially on trains or public transport. That thing is way to expensive for me to risk that.

Very honest review. Wobbly Magic Keyboard, no side protection, high price, no function keys but better looking, better usage, one more port. I would still go with Combo for the detached keyboard and better protection. iPad Pros ain't cheap.

How about a video on how to use the ipad optimally as a teacher and as a student. Recommended apps, widgets, accessories and tools. Thanks bro.

This combo touch is definitely better than the old one and it's nice that it's now available for 12.9 inch but I have been noticing that the Logitech cases are increasing in price each version and the old ones don't reduce in price.

I honestly love the look of the magic keyboard more. They both could be much cheaper though

I had a logitech keyboard lasted me 7 years still works good today. Just bought a new one for my 12.9 inch iPad Pro $129 on Amazon. The magic keyboard is poorly designed when you touch the screen it bounces around like a rubber ball. Even in your video when it’s on your lap and you’re doing the typing, couldn’t you see how much that thing was bouncing around you’re gonna have to have some Dramamine using it.👈👀

The magic keyboard jiggles heavily because of the floating design, the combo touch doesn’t do that because it’s fully supported by the stand. Could be a deal breaker

THE most extensive, in depth review I’ve seen so far about the comparison between Magic Keyboard and Logitech. Super useful.

Thanks for the review. This really answered what I was looking for. Like if I want to draw, on the Logitech, there’s an assurance that it’s still protected with the detachable case. Not so with the magic keyboard. I have made up my mind!

Pro functions that I can’t find reviewers talk about:
1) Spreadsheet - Copy pasting data between opened sheets, between Google Sheets and Excel. Running desktop class formulas.
2) GIS software - Maybe try ArcGIS online? Would be great if it could open a basic SHP file, and allow me to plot CSV coordinates, create grids, create hotspots.

i've had the combo touch for 8 months now, the sides with the holes are now loosened and disfigured.

the case also traps heat big time, don't believe me? Compare using the ipad playing games with the case vs without the case. i have heard lithium ion battery don't like extreme temperatures, there goes your battery life span. The keyboard randomly does not work, you know what i mean if you have this product, imagine doing a powerpoint presentation in front of class and the case malfunctioned, how's that for a premium case.

everytime i play, i remove the ipad from the case, i'll rather buy the magic keyboard, believe me, this is a case you'll regret

The case is heavy, when you play with it while carrying it. it will put pressure on your wrist. notice it? do it for a year. prepare for De Quervain Tenosynovitis. you have been warned

I just feel like the magic keyboard should have been improved. There are some major design flaws with the viewing angle and lack of protection, even having to take the ipad off in order to use it flat. I think both are sort of just sub-par sadly.

Isn’t it annoying to have the iPad screen to shake when typing or touching the screen when using the magic keyboard? Combo touch seems much more stable

The paperlike film on the 2021 12.9” iPad Pro would hinder from experiencing the Liquid Retina XDR display in full.

I went for the magic keyboard instantly. I hated the lack of different screen angles the most. That just irritated me to no end, especially for a $350 purchase. So I starting looking at keyboard comparisons, including yours. I'm back to say that the combo touch was the one for me.

The screen angles you can have is superior. The function keys are great. The typing experience is on par with the magic keyboard. I like that it is still protected when not attached to the keyboard. Though the material is not AS premium as the magic keyboard, I don't have to worry about smudges at all. And should I need to attach devices, I have a couple of thunderbold docks I have around the house with power delivery, So I'm good.

You can access the control panel by hovering the mouse over the utility bar (battery, wifi) it snaps to is and you can use 2 fingers to adjust the volume and brightness bars. Never have to touch the screen.
