The performances in this film were impeccable. Not only Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins but also Ted Levine as Buffalo Bill and Brooke Smith as Catherine Martin. Catherine wasn't a helpless, passive victim but was smart and resourceful. Both Clarice and Catherine were competent young women. What we need are more female characters like these in media. Not superheroes but real, believable women.

It is also incredible that Ted Levine went from playing Buffalo Bill to playing Captain Leland Stottlemeyer in Monk, one of my favorite TV comedies.

"The Silence of the Lambs"(1991) is a crime mystery thriller movie masterpiece! This is the best movie of all time for this Kind! The last part of the movie was atmospheric, scary, and very agonizing!

This was the first movie I saw from Hopkins/foster, and they instantly became 2 of my favorites. This one is a must have if you love to collect movies like me.😊

The Silence Of The Lambs is one of the most greatest psychological horror movies of all time. The story, performance's, music, images, astomphere, tension, and cinematography was so suspenseful, frightening, haunting, mysterious, thrilling, intense, eerie, creepy, and spooky 😰😱 which works perfectly for the movie. It was such a nail-biting and intense thrill ride as it will keep you on the edge of your seat.😰😱 Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, and Ted Levine did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Clarice Starling, Hannibal Lecter, and Buffalo Bill as they all put tons of emotion and depth into their roles. It was decent. To this day the ending still gives me chills and goosebumps 😱😰 and I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍

The best psychological suspense thriller movie ever made IMO. It’s not only the psychological thriller movie and it is also teaches some philosophical thoughts through its core characters.

The Silence of the Lambs is one of the most devoted films from MGM. My favourite suspense/thriller of all time from legendary director Jonathan Demme of devoted dark comedies such as Something Wild and Married to the Mob

This, Se7en and Kiss the Girls are the best thrillers of all time. Unfortunately, they don't make them like this anymore.

Clarice was able to finally understand that true evil does exist. Lecter was able to finally understand that true goodness does exist.

Lecter had to deal with the worst sorts of people throughout his career. When he is finally caught, he finds out that the “good guys” are often not so good. For example, Dr. Chilton not only treats people horribly because of his top position in the facility; he thoroughly enjoys it. Clarice’s boss also plays games and torments Lecter from a distance.

When Lecter meets Clarice Starling, he immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was like everyone else. When he finds out that she isn’t even an agent yet, he takes this as a complete insult. As a result, he pokes and prods into the most fragile parts of her; clearly intending to break her psychologically. After speaking with her for a while, he doubts his initial beliefs of her, is absolutely appalled at what Miggs did to Clarice, and makes a split second decision to help her. As he spends more time with her, he finds out that she is the real deal- an actual kind, decent, honest person who is not trying to manipulate him, not trying to outwit him, and not trying to end route some hidden agenda. She wants to make the world a better place just as her father did. That she had such a rough childhood motivates him to actually help her in a sincere way. Hecter felt bad for tearing her down earlier in the movie and even though he could destroy her, he chooses not to. In the end, we all find out that showing people kindness and respect can go a long way.
