AI vs. Graphic Designers - The Battle for Creative Jobs & The Future of Design

For graphic designers and creative pros, generative artificial intelligence is both amazing and terrifying. AI has the potential to be a powerful new tool for innovation, but currently many of us can’t see that potential and are living in fear and anger that AI will kill our profession and take our jobs. It’s clear that the landscape of the creative professions are changing due to this landslide of new technology. In order to stay relevant, creatives are going to have to evolve, adopting these new tools and learning to use them, taking our work to new heights. Or we can dig in our heels and be left in the dust.

Its not replaced us yet but it 100% will eventually. So its best to just find a new career and keep our art and design as a hobby at this point.

Basically, if you’re a good designer with an innately good eye, AI will be just one of your tools. You’re your own Art Director. You can modify and perfect it to your true vision. A computer can’t do that.

It is inevitable that AI tools will limit many opportunities available to actual designers, while simultaneously giving traditionally "non-creative" role players the ability to take on creative tasks.

Yeah but (eventually) vision, strategy, and direction will be replaced for automated vision, strategy, and direction.

The best thing we can do is get other skills outside of the creative world under our belt to make us competitive. Skills such as programming.

why do i need a graphic designer for 1000 dollars, if i can pay a prompt engineer with artistic knowledge (just out of art school) for 100 dollars
