Do you need to be baptized to be saved?
In the New Testament, as soon as someone heard and believed the Gospel message, they got baptized! So, if baptism was important to Jesus and the apostles, it should be just as important to us!
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that disbelieves shall be condemned.
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do? 38 And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on his name.
1 Peter 3:21 Which also after a true likeness does now save you, even baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
