Will you be upgrading in place or wiping your SD card with the new image?

I intend to upgrade in place

Thank you so much! I needed to update my RetroPie running stretch, but I didn’t want to deal with flashing any images. Hopefully this works!

For fun, will do both: upgrade from Buster and flash new img. However, is best to flash to prevent a possible “broken” OS.

Thanks for this. Can you upgrade from the GUI-less Raspbian to one with GUI without having to flash a new OS onto the SD?

So "sudo apt full-upgrade" will upgrade from Buster to Bullseye?

Thanks fpr the video, i have a raspberry pi 4 running raspberry pi os 32 bit. After following your instruction for upgrade in place and rebooting the pi, I am still seeing the same old desktop. I doesnt appear to have been upgraded?

I installed Bullseye on my Pi 2 zero W and have no problem with it running (32 bit version)

Another Tip I discovered - you might need to do a `sudo apt install gcc-8-base` if you get the message that there is an unmet dependency libc6-dev : Breaks: libgcc-8-dev

Wiping as RPI don't recommend updating due to issues at the moment

10 points to anyone who guesses how many Pi's I have (check out the Zeros on the desk at the beginning). It's more than I'm comfortable to admit; Is 'Pi hoarder' a thing, asking for a friend...
