LIGHT BULB TURNED ON WITH PLANTS GROWING INSIDE

This video demonstrates what happens when you put chia seeds inside a light bulb. In a previous experiment, I couldn't get the bulb to turn on, but this time, I approached it differently. By using a potentiometer, I was able to 'switch on the light' even if only for a brief moment before the tungsten burned out.

I used to be completely disgusted and horrified of mold and decomposition. After binging this channel for the past few minutes, I've come to view that kind of stuff differently and found a new appreciation for life and this beautiful world.
I still think mold is disgusting, but not for vastly different reasons. Thank you for this channel and your dedication to it. My favoyrite videos so far have been the ones where a seed sprouts from something decaying. Reminds me a lot of my backyard. Due to poor weather my dad couldn't clean up the fall leaves, so we ended up doing it in the following year those rotting leaves had become a utopia of vibrant little green sprouts. I planted them into the soil. There was a flower pot full of dead leaves, too. It's been growing a little tree out of just the decayed leaves. Sadly it died a few weeks ago due to an abnornal heatwave. Our average summer temperature is ~22°C, so having the temperature be 34°C for a few days was catastrophic 😢

I love channels that show really beautiful displays of things you absolutely do NOT want to touch.

I was relieved that you didn't touch the mold with bare hands. :D

Pretty cool how the chia was still growing even as the mold tried to strangle it

What a cool concept...never thought about growing in a bulb before

I'd be curious what would happen if you pulled a vacuum on the bulb again before lighting it... And what even would happen to a grown plant placed under a vacuum in general? Love this kind of science! Awesome channel!
