Her Two Amway Friends Spent $1000-1200 Per Month
Her: I know 2 people who sell Amway. They spend appx. $1,000-$1,200 a month (basically almost 1/2 of their gross income) on products for themselves. (They spend enough to get their points).
Whenever they talk about their goals with Amway, it's ALWAYS about the $$$ they will make, the stuff they will buy. It's never about helping others like their family or children as a matter of fact it's about rubbing it in the face of family and friends who watched them waste so much $$$ every month buying unnecessary items yet barely be able to pay their rent or buy food and voicing their concerns.
This couple has no one under them after 3 to 4 years of being involved in Amway and their uplines have stopped trying to assist them in signing up people below them.
From everything I've seen from watching my 2 friends and ex-roomates, it's rather cult like to me. I flipped $22.00 worth of name brand clothing bought at a garage sale and made $120.00 PROFIT on Ebay in 1 MONTH which is more profit than 1 of them made in 1 YEAR! In 6 months I'd made more than they've made in the 3-4 years altogether. I totally believe they are being scammed.
Moreover, joining a network marketing business as a distributor prepares you for entrepreneurship, and just like entrepreneurship and start ups, there's more people that quit/fail then stick with it and are financially successful long term.
I've learned that "success" is not just financial and should factor in your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health as well. It's NOT how much money you make but HOW you make your money which should be the focus.
