This amazing concert brings together some of the true pioneers of rock 'n' roll music including Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, James Brown, Fats Domino and B.B.King.

Recorded in Italy in 1989 it features these legendary artists in performance of their best loved tracks such as Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, Bo Diddley, Great Balls Of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On and Blueberry Hill. At the end of the concert all the performers come together for all-star jam that leaves the audience hollering for more. It's a rare event indeed that brings so many great live performers together on one bill and this DVD captures the real excitement of the evening.

I've been down hearted baby
ever since the day we met
I've been down hearted baby
ever since the day we met

our love is nothing but the blues
baby, how blue can you get?

my love is like a fire
your love is like a cigarette
my love is like a fire
but baby yours is like a cigarette
I watched you step down on it baby
and crush it!
tell me how, tell me how
how blue can you get?

you're evil when i'm with you
and you are jealous when we're apart
you're evil
you're so evil when I'm with you baby
and you are jealous when we're apart
how blue can you get baby?
the answer is right here in my heart

I gave you a brand new ford
and you said "i want a Cadillac"
I bought you a ten dollar dinner
and you said "thanks for the snack"!
I let you live in my penthouse
you said it was just a shack!
I gave you seven children
and now you wanna to give 'em back!

yes i've been downhearted baby
ever since the day we met
our love is nothing but the blues baby
baby, how blue can you get?

Agony, Melancholy, Angstness, Bittersweet, Pain, Cry and Perfection. All this words defines what BB King's blues are made of. I'm so damn sorry for those who can't really appreciate how purely emotional this piece is.

It doesn't get any better than the three kings... my wife and I just saw BB last September (2010), and he's still amazing. He's creeping up on 90 years young, and still does more than 200 shows a year... unbelievable! Without a doubt one of the greatest of all time.

Look at this man... what a performer. When this is recorded, he's probably sung it thousands of times, and still it feels like he's preaching. If I EVER develop even an ounce of his presence and delivery, I will consider myself a blessed man. What incredible undeniable unrepeatable talent

I wish the guitar solo would have been much longer, but being so short, it still contains all the qualities in sound and melody, that made BB king so famous.

The sound of the band and the tone of Lucille is spot on here. And that last piece of the verse, spine-chilling...
I really love that there´s no breaks in this version, really builds the tension nicely to the climax

This is the best rhythm clap I've ever heard and the coolest bass player I've ever seen. All in one video.

B.B. King really sung the blues! And his guitar Lucille sung it too! (GOD-BLESS-HIS-SOUL).

I cant help but to wonder what a 10 dollar diner would be like in the time in which he wrote this song.
