I liked Eleanor Oliphant. I love when she thanks the hairdresser for making her shiny.💗

What a wonderful list! You mentioned a few of my all-time favourites which are Midnight At The Bright Ideas Bookstore, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Pull Of The Stars and Eleanor Oliphant. You all have given me quite a few to add to my tbr list. Thanks so much for that.

Love your choices. I also have Autumn (Ah-Mazing) and Five Little Indians in my top 10 this year. I ordered From the Ashes (as well, Girl, Woman, Other & The Vanishing Half) from Indigo on Boxing Day. I started Hidden Valley Road but set it aside as I needed something lighter at the time but I will be picking this up again soon. Pulling off my TBR shelves The Book of Longings, Beartown and A Thousand Splendid Suns. I'm ordering most of the others you mentioned. Love your energy and descriptions. Thanks so much for the reviews!

OMG, 154 books! That is really mindblowing. "Five Little Indians" is so important. "My Dark Vanessa" still waits for me on the shelf. "The Pull of the Stars" I have as an audiobook. Many other interesting titles in your great list: I want to read Richard Wagamese.

I think, after seeing your video, there is going to be another rush on people reading "The Book Of Longings". How you got your list down to 20 is amazing. "The Red Chesterfield" is in the top of my list for the year too. I can't wait for your genre video... that will bring up a lot of books (and the movie of "Perks of being a wallflower" is amazing (I haven't read the book, I'll have to get on that too)

I own quite a few of these and they’re on my TBR. I read Perks of Being a Wallflower a few years ago and it remained one of the best books I’ve read. I’ve also added a few of the books you’ve mentioned to my TBR - I haven’t read a single book by an indigenous author and some of the Canadian books you mentioned sound great. Thanks for the video!
