I think Indonesians use chopsticks specifically for noodles, dumplings etc. They don't use chopsticks in general like for eating rice

In Indonesia we still use chopsticks, but not all food uses chopsticks, some use spoons, forks, even their hands directly, and not everyone uses chopsticks, because not everyone can use them, usually they use methods other than chopsticks

The idea of using chopsticks always facinated me, why would you do that, simply you can use your hand, spoon or fork.. I tried it but i can't enjoy my meal using it...!! make eating simple guys...😅

What I learned from this video is that fork is superior lol. Watching all of them struggle with picking up these foods makes me stressed. Everything except seaweed and udon noodles seems easier to pick up with the fork.

I think you guys switched the Indian and Indonesian girls' flags and names at the beginning when you introduced them so you might want to pin a disclaimer in the beginning.

In Thailand we use chopsticks quite a lot of course since a lot of our food does use chopsticks (Noodles (Soup, dry, stir-fried...), Thai BBQ, Thai hotpot etc.) but everyone uses it wrong mostly so I was so curious to see how the East Asian people would feel seeing Thai people use chopsticks lol ~ I think they would feel really offended but we can't help it since we don't have a culture where chopstick usage is taught so we kinda just figure it out ourselves (Maybe in more recent Thai-Chinese families). The person who taught me how to use chopsticks 'correctly' or the traditional way was my Dad (Who's from the UK) but lived in Hong Kong for many years and not my mum, who is Thai-Chinese (3rd generation) lol.

We mostly use disposable chopsticks when eating out of course, but at home the chopsticks my family used was generally quite rectangular and thick (also quite long) so I guess it would be most similar to Chinese chopsticks. However, I wonder if chopsticks also vary in different regions from China, I think in Thailand if chopsticks were used, they would probably be most similar to those used in Southern China since that's where many Thai people have roots from (especially Thai-Chinese).

Chinese is the original. But Korean metal chopsticks is easier to wash without it growing fungus like bamboo ones.

Great job! Very interesting learning about the different types of chopsticks and the influence the cuisine from each country has on the type they use. Well done and fun to watch and learn.

Why did they seem to understand one another so well 😅 I didn't know that much about chopsticks so it was very educational 👌🏻

It was very interesting. If I am not wrong, the japanese women said that japanese children trained to write while holding a second pen/chopstick to train the way the hold two chopsticks. If it's real does someone know ressources/videos where one's can see it, or explain me the correct way to do it ? I would like to try, i'm curious ^^

That's right, we Vietnamese people use chopsticks every day, from childhood to adulthood. But there is one thing I want you to understand that is "Vietnamese people are completely different from Chinese people". 95% of the Vietnamese population is born with natural double eyelids without the need for cosmetic surgery, while in China this is not the case or even rare. I have met many Chinese people on the streets of Vietnam. Before they spoke, when looking from afar I confirmed that they were not Vietnamese, and that they were Chinese or Taiwanese. Because they have eyes typical of East Asians (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese). That's all I want to say so you understand. Thanks a lot.
