I got a $2.1/2 gold coin from 1914 today and its quality is not like the second coin but nearly, the shape of the whole things is better but it has circulated for sure, I am happy on have got this coin, a small piece of history in my home, the price was also really good and certified item. wow... I love that, sad that I can not collect them all haha but Im happy to have one.

Just bought a 1908 from my 85 year old neighbor lady this evening. Wondering if I got a good deal. After seeing this, I think I did well on price. Thanks for the video.

I know nothing about coins and recently inherited a coin collection, in that collection there was a bag with a bunch of mercury dimes and I had one of these coins in with those.. I didn't even know a $2 1/2 dollar coin existed..

As of this time gold is on the rise it's $ 2.050'00, I have a beautiful 1911-p quarter eagle, pcgs ms63 these coin are scarce, not many are in circulation because of the President ordered everybody to turn in their gold coins for cash and then we had the great depression, pre33 gold is where the money's at and especially in a nice grade you will get top dollar for your coin, nice video thank you

The luster here is obviously (very different) from the UNC luster we want to see on the Morgan Dollars. The latter being the "cartwheel" luster. So could you please comment on how we are to watch for the luster on these old Au pieces? And further...if there is also a luster difference (to watch for) w/the old Au pieces that have the INCUSE design, vs. those that do not? Thank you.

I do not agree that "Luster"being present is mandatory for a coin to be considered mint state. If there's any doubt just look at many old slabbed coins when "Blazing White" wasn't the determining factor. I have seen countless toned coins graded ms where luster isn't present.

The one video I needed that I wasn’t looking for, but perfect place to ask I hope 🤞🏻
I have a 1908 flawless $5 Indian that’s ungraded.
My problem is when I looked at the price guide the price went up something like $40, 000 from a grade MS -MS65-MS68. My question is how can I trust to ship it to get graded without having it switched or something bad happening like theft?
Please excuse me if this is a dumb concern.

I have a 1929 2 1/2 gold PCGS MS62.. Purchased in 1990.
Has grading standards changed at all for a coin like this ?
Been in the box for that long, never looked :)
It looks better than MS 62.
I have jut started silver stacking so it brought me back.
Thanks

Great video can there be fakes made out of gold that look alike? Or is that highly unlikely
