USS Massachusetts has an entire level of the ship dedicated to the PT Squadrons and a good feeling of what these men did
and sacrifice during the war. Outside of talking to veterans, it's a great way to teach the younger generations. There is also a museum with one PT boat open, so you see inside

I've been thru the Panama Canal 6 times. It was a real experience.

Now a collectors toy, restoration is a long journey from start to finish. Only seen one in dry dock. Then it was gone.

These pieces of History are priceless. 3000 gallons of high octane aviation gas, and plywood armor. That's a whole new level of brave. The prospect of death is bad enough but the prospect of burning up in an aviation gas fire is genuinely horrifying. So brave!

Those boats and their trained crews were small but strong, dangerous weapons for the Americans. Fast, agile and lethal.
