Hi Olivia! Thank you for sharing your experience! I totally can relate to the things you discussed in this video. I left my hometown at the age of 25, relocated to Europe, moved every 2-3 years inside the EU because of work, and every country somehow changed me. Now I am building my life in Finland, and I constantly tell myself: adapt but please stay yourself.

I did not expect to relate to this video as much as I thought I would.
Manifesting for a better and healthier change in my life.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

Aw Olivia I’m so happy for you, and I love the threading of this vlog with life and life learnings. The personal point about depression and growth really encouraged me; I’ve been going through one as I grapple with how I thought life SHOULD be, it’s very much not looking that way. Probably akin to how you thought you would get married. But as you said, it has forced me to deal with a lot of childhood wounds in a way I never thought I’d have to.

I consider us both blessed in a sense… many don’t get this opportunity to face their wounds for growth. And yet seeing you on the other side (I know it’s a lifelong journey) helps me care to open up and expand my mindset / the people I’m around / things I’m investing myself into, to make the most of the present.

Happy 3 years!! To more creativity, meaningful relationships, and beauty in the small and large.

I loved this!! first time watching and I loved the style :) I'm moving to Japan from the UK in a few months and I am terrified and excited all at the same time, but hearing about your growth journey and how you ultimately love the country has made me more excited than anything!!

I have been here on vacation for 2 months and I already feel like I have learned a lot about myself.
Seeing you perform I really need to go to some live gigs, something I have not done yet.

Thank you for your perspective. Be your subtle self. I also appreciate your self-reflection. You're lucky to be well skilled in Japanese.

Great to hear about the potential for hotel gigs. I can see how your music style and approach might be great fit for gallery openings, boutique product/other event launches, corporate gigs and high end hotels.

Lovely to see you’re hitting a new stride and loving Tokyo, even if it’s a bit tricky to find a good bloke!

Olivia! Wow, this video is blowing up 🙌🙌🙌 So happy for you about the hotel gig, I know being able to play more was really important for you (you looked unreal btw, as always!).
I love those videos when you just share your musings with us, that's what made your channel special to me in the first place ;) Sending you love <3

Thanks a lot for your video. I've been living in Tokyo 2 out of 24 months to go. I was starting to feel anxious about the same things said here. I'm definitely worried about loneliness from not getting a girlfriend and not connecting deeply with others. Doesn't help my classmates are 5+ years old than me and I already got ghosted once. Looks like it will the the most amazing/depressing/self development moment of my life

Hi Olivia! I really enjoyed your perspective on living in Japan! I am from the states, and I’m planning on moving to Japan next year. I studied abroad last year in Akita prefecture, and like you said, everywhere is absolutely beautiful; I would wake up early just to see the sun rise! I wish you the best of luck with dating, I think anyone would be really lucky to be with you! By the way, I would love to know what it was like moving to Japan initially (like the city hall stuff), and how to best navigate that.

Oh first time here, and really enjoyed it! You sound so British! I live in London and resonate with the 'loneliness' of sort-- especially dating! Subbed :)
