Switching from pre-settled to settled status

Time to apply for settled status? Make sure you start a new application, by proving your identity through the "EU Exit: ID Document Check" app. Please DO NOT upload evidence to an already closed application.

👉 EU citizens with pre-settled status can apply for settled status once they have reached 5 years of continuous residency in the UK.
👉 On the govt website, you will be given two options: to prove your identity, or to sign in.
👉 If you sign in, you will see your previous applications. DO NOT upload evidence to closed applications.
👉 Instead, use the EU Exit app to prove your identity again to start a new application.

We find this user journey confusing and have written to the Home Office about it. Make sure you are not caught up in this pitfall.

I think it s all straight forward, but! One thing what they ask in the form I have no idea of.. where can I find the UAN unique application number. It must be in my pre settled status decision letter, but I can t find it anywhere
