Most people don’t associate the outdoors and nature with this former industrial hub on the southeast coast of Massachusetts, but do a little digging and you’ll find some surprises! This episode highlights paddling on South Watuppa Pond, fishing for big striped bass in the Taunton River with Capt. Brian Patterson of Patterson Guide Service, biking the Quequechan River Rail Trail (part of the South Coast Bikeway), sailing with the inspirational Sail Rec community sailing program, and mountain biking through Copicut Woods with the president of the South Coast chapter of NEMBA. You'll also learn how Fall River's textile-mill history was founded on the Quechechan River, which eventually led to its moniker, "Spindle City." As always, there's a lot of history wherever you turn in New England!

This is my home. I mountain bike here, I fish here, I eat and sleep here. Thanks for showcasing the great south coast. You nailed it.

Tight shots, quick cutaways and glorified narration make anything look good.
