ΑΝΤΩΝΗΣ ΤΖΕΛΕΠΗΣ : Sound of Silence (των Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel)

Ο Αντώνης Τζελέπης επιχειρεί να δώσει τη δική του πιανιστική εκδοχή σε ένα από τα διαχρονικά αριστουργήματα των Paul Simon και Art Garfunkel, με τίτλο : Sound of Silence. To τραγούδι αυτό συμπεριλήφθηκε στο πρώτο άλμπουμ τους “Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.”, το 1964 και γράφτηκε από τον Paul Simon. Η πρώτη κυκλοφορία του κομματιού ήταν αποτυχημένη, και αυτό οδήγησε στο να χωριστεί το ντουέτο, με τον Simon να γυρίζει στην Αγγλία και τον Art Garfunkel να συνεχίζει τις σπουδές του στο Πανεπιστήμιο Columbia. Την Άνοιξη του 1965, το κομμάτι άρχισε να λαμβάνει κάποια αναγνωρισιμότητα, σε ραδιοφωνικούς σταθμούς της Μασαχουσέτης και της Φλόριντα. Το single έφτασε στο νούμερο 1 του αμερικανικού Chart Billboard Hot 100, και οδήγησε τους δύο μουσικούς να επανενωθούν και να κυκλοφορήσουν τον δεύτερο δίσκο τους, τον οποίο η δισκογραφική τους τον ονόμασε “Sounds of Silence”, ώστε να εκμεταλλευτεί την επιτυχία του τραγουδιού. Το τραγούδι είχε επιτυχία σε αρκετές χώρες, μεταξύ των οποίων η Αυστρία, η Δυτική Γερμανία, η Ιρλανδία, η Ιαπωνία, η Ολλανδία, αλλά και η Αυστραλία. Πλέον, θεωρείται ως ένα κλασικό φολκ τραγούδι, που μάλιστα, το 2013, εισήχθη και στο National Recording Registry της Βιβλιοθήκης του Κογκρέσου, όντας «πολιτισμικά, ιστορικά, και αισθητικά σημαντικό», μαζί και με τον υπόλοιπο ομότιτλο δίσκο.
