Sam gives Hozier's "Francesca" a listen and reacts to it! Is Sam going to be honest? Damn right he will. Has he really never heard it before? He's 8 Months too late to the party on this one!

Glad to serve you more Hozier and various others whenever the mood suits you.
There is an over-arching theme in Unreal Unearth of Dante's inferno, I know I didn't tell you before you went into this, but the inspiration of this song is the circle for lust, and the lovers Francesca da Rimini and Paolo Malatesta who are forever torn away from each other by a storm there. (I am not such a nerd that I have memorized their full names, had to look them up again to note this.)
Anyway, just a fun factiod given now to you and anyone else who may not be familiar with the origins of this particular Francesca.

This whole album is ridiculously good. It is a concept album of sorts, Dante's inferno provides structure for it, songs fall into the different Circles of Hell, we start entering Limbo, and go through the 9 circles, and out the other side. You don't really have to know anything about Inferno, it just adds to the experience if you do.

I’d definitely recommend you listening to the whole album!!! It’s so very conceptual and beautiful, the way the songs blend together in the same theme (Dante’s inferno and the descending circles of hell) but really you don’t even need to follow along to such extent, each song carries their own meaning and makes sense on its own while making the overall story… ah, it’s gorgeous listening, not a single song skip for me. (My favorites are First Time, Francesca, and Abstract)

Definitely also recommending of course for you to listen to his first and second album too, if you ever get a chance. Every lyric he’s ever written is pure poetry but this album has to be the best he’s ever written, in my very humble opinion.

Definitely going to have to recommend you listen to more Hozier. He's one of those rare artists you get into and when they put out more music they just keep improving with each release. Some of my other favorite bands like Coldplay I will openly admit do the exact opposite, so I don't say that about Hozier lightly. This is from his break-through album Unreal Unearth. He's had some super hits before like Take me to Church, Nina Cried Power and Movement, but this is the album that really has sent him into the realm of superstardom and it doesn't seem like he has any intention of watering down his craft or changing to please the masses, he just makes music true to him and he attracts millions who love his style of music.

I like to only recommend one song at a time, which is super hard for Hozier, but I think you'd really love "Movement - Live at the Current". I don't usually recommend live performances but Hozier doesn't usually change keys or hold back like a lot or artists do live, so the live versions tend to be as beautiful or more beautiful than the studio versions. This is a prime example of that. Happy watching, and I look forward to seeing more of your reactions!
