Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt Red. It is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. The story takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customizable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 is played in a first-person perspective as V, a mercenary whose voice, face, hairstyles, body type and modifications, background, and clothing are customizable. Stat categories—Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical, and Cool—are influenced by the character classes that players assume, which are NetRunner (hacking), Techie (machinery), and Solo (combat). V must consult a "ripperdoc" to upgrade and purchase cyberware implants; black markets offer military-grade abilities. The rarity of any given equipment is shown by a coloured tier system. V can take cover, aim, run, jump, double jump, and slide. Melee strikes can be dealt with close-combat weapons. There are three types of ranged weapons, all of which can be customised and modified—Power (standard), Tech (which penetrate walls and enemies), and Smart (with homing bullets). Ranged weapons are equipped to ricochet bullets in a target's direction and slow them down in bullet time. Four types of damage can be inflicted and resisted—Physical, Thermal, EMP, and Chemical. Weapon use increases accuracy and reloading speed, which are manifested in character animations. Gunsmiths repair and upgrade weapons. The game can be completed without killing anyone, with non-lethal options for weapons and cyberware.

Step into the shoes of V, a cyberpunk mercenary for hire and do what it takes to make a name for yourself in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour, and body modification. Legends are made here. What will yours be?

Take on the job of a lifetime — to steal a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality — and build your legend in the vast open world of Night City, where the choices you make shape the story and the people around you. Take on a variety of gigs to go from up-and-coming mercenary to legendary cyberpunk, all while uncovering the mysteries of the priceless implant everyone is dying to get their hands on.

Night City - A megalopolis packed to the brim with things to do, places to see, and people to meet. And it’s up to you where to go, when to go, and how to get there. From the polished high rises of Corpo Plaza to the spacious outskirts of the Badlands, Night City is teeming with secrets to discover.

Meet a host of memorable characters, from rockerboy rebel Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) to a variety of fixers, friends, and enemies — all of whom have their own agenda. Who you choose to help and how won’t always be easy, and it’ll have far-reaching consequences for your own survival.

This is the ending where Takemura is shaken out of his blind loyalty to Arasaka. It was extremely unpleasant, but now he's finally free of that shackle. Bitter medicine. Similarly, V is also free of his terminal condition, but is unable to return to his old life, just like Takemura. Both of them took bitter medicine this route.

I really still can't understand Takemura that well in this scene just because of the damn scowl he always wears on his face.
To me though, sounds like he has a grudge against V for not getting the help he wanted, but also respect for V taking his own choice.
He understands now where V was, and V was the thing keeping Takemura himself out of that situation, and kept trying to get him away from Saka.
Takemura didn't listen to V, despite V trying to get Takemura out of his situation with the suits... and ultimately when he didn't listen?

I want to violently shake Takemura and wake him up and make him see reality for what Arasaka truly is, how they discarded him and he's still there like a lost puppy. He can't see past his old ways.

This is truly the only way to get Takemura to understand the reality of his situation.

It's a shame that after so long he's finally getting his arc in not despising you completely.
Also opens up the possibility that NPC V, Misty, and Takemura can all help each other out in their own little ways from here on. It's one helluva gut punch all the same, but this is a far better outcome than what the romance lunatics were asking for.

Reed is just like Takemaru. Reed = absolute devotion to FIA; Takemaru = absolute loyalty to Arasaka. Even despite the fact both organizations tried to kill them they still remain loyal and devoted. They both deserve the Darwin Award because if you don’t grow, change, or evolve you will eventually become extinct. And depending on your play-through both of them can possibly become extinct. In my opinion, Cyberpunk whole philosophy is centered challenging the system, rejecting established norms, the balance of technology, and raising a middle finger to [corrupt] authority. Reed and Takemaru seem to be antagonistic despite being a ally. I think that’s why Johnny don’t like them.

One last thing. Not to get too political but my close friend works at Apple. As of now Apple are trying to relocate as many of their employees to Austin, TX. Some think it’s because of the tax cuts they get out there so they are relocating a lot of assets there. Anyways, they are not really giving salary increases, travel compensation, or any other business means to adjust to the higher standard of living out there. Apple doesn’t care, why should it? It’s just another Arasaka or Militech as far as a business putting profit above all else.

I wish we got to see more non-corpo Takemura. He's one of my favorite characters story wise, we see this guy fall from grace and be exiled from Arasaka and have an almost friendship with V, only for him to go back into lapdog mode by the end...

i'm honestly unsure if takemura will be a 'good' guy or bad one in cyberpunk 2. i assume v will be either a fixer with few missions similar to rogue, or not be in the game at all, probalby depending on your save file and your ending? takemura is bitter in this ending but i don't think he blames v so i doubt he's out to get him, even though the beginning of the holo with him aknowledging v's back in night city sounded kind of threatening

You know, it's kinda poetic how you need to take away someone's freedom to give some else theirs back

I can't tell if that's his way of saying thanks or an insult.

Honestly, this is actually the "good" ending in Cyberpunk 2077...
V and Takemura are alive, and now have a chance to begin anew...

In other endings he implies he is going to kill himself. Why would this ending have him live for two years?

It would've been cool if Takemura had gone Nomad in the Phantom Liberty ending other than hiding within the shadows of NC.

Thats why this is the worst ending. Hanako-gyattsama being dead is not acceptable

Makes me feel much less bad about not saving him, not that there was much to save anyways this dude has a kink in his perspective on who is responsible for the messes around him or concerning him. Dude straight up blames V for his own plan failing. Dude can't accept that some things are what they are and not some great metaphor or old saying. He only has himself to blame if the world around him doesn't conform to what he views it as.
