The money mindset is so important. It sounds easy, but some people let their lifestyle keep them broke and in debt, despite having, say, twice the median income. By the way, 20 years ago, my Economics professor said that the more you have, the stingier you become. I didn't fully understand what he meant until later in life. Even though I don't have to worry about the cost of everyday purchases, value for money has become increasingly important to me in principle, as it ensures I keep more of my money.

Good points you have list with strong support for your argument. I dig it!

Okay I draw the line at clothes with holes in them 😂But otherwise totally agree. I have a capsule wardrobe, mostly black, blue, and grey, so even though overall I don't have many clothes, I have a LOT of outfits.

There is a paradox… why be rich if you don’t spend anything

You killed this. You’ve got a new fan. You talk like me. I’ve been dressing poor for years

As a person who made millions at a young age and then went through the "new money" stage. I can confirm your message is valid. Its better for people to not know you have it. Because they'll then be envious and even change the way they act around you. I now keep a more low-key lifestyle and enjoy saving $$$ while just traveling and eating a nice places with my girl. I still have some nice things like Rolexes and a nice custom car, but its all paid off and hold its value. I recently did a USA road trip in my car and just went on a food tour lol. The real rich have time on their side to actually ENJOY life! Subbed!

Didn't work my ass off just to live the same way as every one else does. Yes, I save and invest but I also spend on things and experiences that I enjoy.

The balance….gathering all that money and being frugal is wise…but at what point do you spend any of that? What brings you joy? Money won’t buy happiness, but it can provide a quality lifestyle And lifestyle conveniences. Where is the line between scarcity and abundance? You can always wear old clothes and save Pennies..but what’s your end game? Having a rich life is the most important and that means different things to each of us. Good video!

Really depends on individual belief and what makes them happy. And spending within means

Good points. My thoughts (not that anybody asked, LOL):
It's not that having money is so great, it's more NOT having money really, REALLY stinks.
Money is a wonderful servant and a terrible master.
My experience has been if someone finds out you have money/wealth, they either resent you for it and/or expect you to pay for things. No one, not even your own mother, will think (much less tell you): "Good for you! You deserve every penny."
Prioritizing my life in the following order has served me well: People, then money, then experiences, then things.

I imported a 20ish year old Toyota Starlet from Japan. It was practically new (<40, 000 miles) and only around $5000 after all the fees and shipping costs. The fuel economy is absurd. I recommend that you get a customs broker since it is around 15 hours of paperwork if you do it yourself in the USA.
I buy a lot of clothes but I also ruin them often (home renovations are a fast way to rip and stain clothes).

I sort of agree with you but I am wealthy and I buy Designer purses because I like to collect them. People think people buy things for other people but I buy what I want because I like it. I wear them as a novelty to myself, not to impress anyone else.

i concur with your points but how are you securing 'financial security' if you're sacrificing your quality of life (aka basic needs)? the whole point is to ensure that you have a more fulfilling life in the future, yes? but the thing about life is that yesterday is the past and we have no clue of the future and as a result, only have now. you don't have to be a fashionista to take care of yourself.

Son, as you get older and have some money you can have nicer things and experiences. Not about showing off. But enjoying some of your success is OK.
Work and invest, of course. But don't overdo it

This is excellent! Many people that buy excessive flashy stuff without really being able to afford it are just filling an inner void. It's a vicious cycle.

Looking poor could only mean two things: you are rich or you are actually poor. Looking rich could mean: you're poor or you are actually rich.
