Seems your hose is 3/4 and your adapter just 1/2. Need a larger adapter. The barbed part has to fit tight before you tighten the clamp

I wonder if you can use a crimp ring for PEX plumbing instead of that hose clamp.

I prefer using pex crimp rings on garden hoses

just get a finger ring or pipe expanded. you get to keep the tool in the end and use it gor any thing else. hey be sure to put electrical tap over the hose clamp

Good to go with that nasty hose clamp sticking out. I know there’s not a lot of other options but that’s always been my pet peeve of this solution.

Great information Brian that’s far better than the plastic replacement fittings I have used in the past 👍

Pretending to install the wrong size part with no leaks later. The magic of going back to the hardware store for the correct part!

Thanks for the tips Brian! Saved me $ 75 dollars for a new hose!

It was me, I ran it over and I also ran mine over. I put a cheap plastic repair end on mine, I need to get a good brass one!!

Needs a little electrical tape over the clamp. Gets rid of the sharp edges.

I prefer the metal two-piece clamps that screw on both sides they're not sharp.. i've definitely cut up my fingers on those hose clamps

My dad just found out that you can use the pex ring to repair

You clearly used the wrong sized repair kit, looks like you used 1/2 inch repair kit on a 5/8 inch hose. if you used the correct size repair kit it would need a little force to slide onto the hose. I often use a little spit to lubricate the hose to make the repair kit fit snuggly onto the hose.

Next time use the right repair kit. That looks so loose.

Those LEAKY, Rolled Threads Hose Ends REALLY SUXX!

The SOLID BRASS MACHINED Fittings are The Bests. And then, After that? Even the Plastic Replacement Repair Ends are Usually Better than those ThinWall Rolled Brass Hose Ends.

I would of wrapped tape around the barb untill it was tight then cranked down on the hose clamp, just saying, wrong size barb
