I use clipping masks all the time and they are really useful and they also for for groups as well.

What do the icons mean that are on your ink layer?

Hey Scott, is there a way to make an INVERSE "clip to layer below" link that stays dynamic, i.e. so that what you draw in the layer shows up ONLY where nothing is drawn on the layer below?

I know I can make a mask and invert it, but then it isn't dynamic any longer, like the "clip to layer below". Sometimes this "opposite" clipping would be useful, for instance to avoid overlapping highlights and shadows.

hmmm tbh I find it easier to use auto action that is just 1 click and does all automatic xD it colors the lines due to the flat colors that are under automatic
