Thank you for the nice video! Personally, I've solved the problem of moving between email providers just by using ProxiedMail's unique email address each time when I sign up somewhere. They're forwarding emails from your proxy email to your original email address that could be hosted on any mail provider such as Proton, Gmail, FastMail, etc. So, your next switch would be as easy as possible, because you will only need to replace the "real email" address with a new one. It also gives you additional privacy and security such as when you're using a unique password.

Hi there is there any other options to import emails from yahoo to proton mail as generating a Password in yahoo is not available?

While going through the motions, Proton easy-switch needs to "associate you with your personal info on google"
I don't much like the sound of that.

I wouldn't even need this app if Proton could simply display the contents of emails I've been forwarding!
It's a simple thing to forward an email and I've just done so between gmail and yahoo - the contents of a forwarded email is identical to the original.

Why can't Proton do this? I don't get it.

Still happy to leave gmail and I will just copy/paste those emails i'd like to forward - into a word doc and save them that way, i guess.

How does it work if I use Gmail with my own domain name? Can Proton take care of that easily too?

Great to see that, but until there are native apps in iOS, calendar, drive etc, I won’t be moving my stuff.
Having to access calendar and drive through a browser when out and about is not ideal… sorry.

This is misleading because importing doesnt connect and forward your current mail to Proton it just uploads everything to that point. kinda pointless unless you had important stuff form ur old account

WHY BOTHER IMPORTING EVERYTHING INTO PROTONMAIL, WHEN
IT DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW US TO SORT BY DATE, SENDER, SUBJECT, ETC.
NO SORTING FUNCTIONALITY.
