That was super easy, I've done the move before, going from an ubuntu install to a docker install and it went fine. I think I just made a backup file and imported it but I couldn't get the devices to adopt this time. Your method was super simple and worked like a charm. Thank you

Thank you, This was very helpful. When I did this, about half my devices didn't migrate over. But that was an easy fix.

How would this process apply to moving from a Ubiquiti Dream Machine to the new Dream Machine Pro?

question? currently we have a Mac that's running our unify software. Its tough to access the mac during services. Would this be a way of having unify running on two seperate machines?

Would this same process be used to migrate from a PC based controller to a UDM-SE?

The latest firmware (as of april 2020) does have the same process. It gives me no option to delete the devices. I wish I knew what todo so as I don't do the wrong thing!

I will try this next week.. Still scared something bad will happen.. Question: Do I need to have the same version of the controller on both machines? Or can the new have the lastest controller while the old have 6.0.45?

Nice Video! I have a client that has all the UniFi setup (gateway, switch, cloud key, APs) working, the thing is that the controller is not working; another thing is that the username and password for that controller got lost. I'm thinking of doing factory reset to all the UniFi devices, however I've read in forums that sometimes the devices get readopted by the controller, do you have any experience with that scenario?

Hello - Can you guide me on below - The system which hosted the Unifi controller is down (Corrupted ) can't be recovered. How we can host site on another device ? Currently the devices are running and we are able to access the network but we don't have access to admin console
