VLC media player has got low number of reviews & rating, but it's not the app's fault. It's because iPhone makes it very difficult for apps to access local files.
IMPORTANT: Every other app collects lots of personal data as well as forces you to log in by creating an account!
TRICK: You can't directly add your audio/music files to VLC player. Instead you'd need to add your files in the "Files" app.
NOTE: You could move both video & audio files!
This is due to the iPhone (iOS) configuration to prevent 3rd party apps from accessing all your files on your iPhone/iPad. By sacrificing your convenience, you're gaining more security & privacy!
