Hey man I am trying to put some 2d smoke and bullet markings into a shot, my resources are from action vfx. Some of them dont have alpha channels and whenever I change the blending mode to screen in the image plane settings nothing happens. What would you do to fix that?

when i connect ellipse node to the 2d image and then add it to 3dplane, the ellipse is not masking out the 2d image. pls help
