I have never rebuilt a V8 carb before, so I went cheap and ordered an off-brand kit on Amazon to rebuild my Edelbrock 1405 carb. The Edelbrock carb rebuild kit I bought from Amazon wasn't the best best, but for under $20 it would at least give me the parts mostly the gaskets I needed to get this carb back running on my 1967 Pontiac Firebrid.

This 1967 Pontiac Firebird hasn't been started in over 25 years, and this will be the First Drive for the car once we get a few more projects done.

Edelbrock carbs are decent but I think you should try to find a good quadrajet carb for it in the future. The quadrajet have the best driveability and get decent gas mileage for a carb.
