That's illegal if they aren't paying overtime fuck that

My broke ass would start coming in 10 min late every day, make an extra hour and a half

Edit- it's not 1hour 40 it's 90 minutes.
10 x 10= 100 - 10 min = 90 min.
Don't forget if I come in ten minutes late that's 10 min less

I love how employers make up these policies that are completely illegal.

Cool, you're going to be paying me overtime. Also, that's super illegal.
I'd be taking a picture of that and sending it to the department of Labor.

That's extremely illegal. Ask Walmart how that kind of policy worked out for them.

Highly illegal office rule, no matter where you work.

So on an 8-hour shift, if you show up 48 minutes early, you can just go home right?

Thats some small business rules if I ever seen it. Remember, they treat you like family 😂 when they say that to you, once you leave the office, they mutter, "and I hate family"

Look illigal labor laws, unless they are paying for that time over.

Oh fam you just cracked the code for approving my 40 hours of overtime. Manager gunna regret that when the owner find out im bankrupting them both. That time and half aint cheap.

See my question is, would this go towards overtime? Because i would take advantage of this very much so.

And then you proceed to show the bosses the FLSA (fair labor and standards act). Have specific photos of those federal labor laws screen shot on my phone. Especially pertaining to legitimate breaks (can’t speak to me and I have to be away from work area), to calling in and many more laws all companies are required to follow. And believe me the threat or act of reporting them will mess up their business regardless what the business owner tries to tell you.

I once found out my boss was taking time off of our paychecks and for a long time. He only paid us 9 to 5 but we had clients and had to come 30 minutes early to prep and leave 45 minutes late to sanitize and clean. BS

The longer you wanna keep me the slower I’ll go. I know my worth and I won’t be manipulated

If there ain't overtime I'm good on that job. If there is overtime I'm coming in 20 minutes late every day.

And thus begins the grievance procedure

If it’s a front loaded job where you’re needed the most earliest in shift I could see a 1x-2x time add on as fair and would sign that contract. 10x is crazy.

If it's not in the initial contact I signed when started I ain't going to be doing shit BUT if the manager is a bell end and actually wanted to push it I'd be 30 mins late daily just to make him have to stay as well 😂 Not gonna leave me all alone at work now are they absolutely anything could go wrong lol

I know someone who works in a deli part of a grocery store. They are supposed to check out off shift at 8:30 pm. They aren't allowed to put up a sign that says, "Sorry were closed." So as they are trying to clean up to leave on time, they have customers wanting served. They aren't allowed to say no. This person gets home no sooner than 10:30 every night. I have even seen her get home at midnight. And thats 3 people running it when 6 people run it for morning shift. And evenings are BUSY! Its harsh.😬

They started that shit with my last company, they didnt take into account that I had to drive 23 miles from home to the works yard which if i was lucky took me nearly an hour n a half to get get there, when everyone who lived nearby was still in bed masturbating I was on the motorway fighting the traffic, then when I asked to leave earlier because my wife had to go to work when I got home and there was no one to look after my young daughter they started huffing and puffing I thought “fuck this, fuck you. I wasn’t even getting paid travel time and the lies I had to tell customers because we were a week late starting jobs because of the lack of man power. It was time to go. Worst of all was the micro management run by an ex supermarket shelf stacker who had the work experience of a 5 yr old running time served workers. Worst thing about it, ,, he was thought more of than the men doing the work…..
