Fairest of the Fair Miss San Diego County 1997 Gianna Suter. Taylor Baldwin report.
We caught up with Gianna. She provided a video telling us what she's up to now and how the pageant impacted her life.
"I really enjoyed my time as Miss San Diego County/Fairest of the Fair, it truly was a unique and positive experience. I met so many wonderful San Diegans and it was a privilege to volunteer and help so many wonderful charities that year, it really was a highlight. The experience also helped prepare me for my future career as a broadcaster.

I currently work as a news and traffic reporter in San Francisco on the CBS KPIX-5 Morning Show, and for KCBS Radio and 95.7 The Game as a traffic/sports broadcaster. I also work as a voice-over artist for various companies and projects. Prior to my work here in the Bay, I worked as the traffic reporter for KGTV- ABC 10 in San Diego which was such a treat getting to work in my hometown. I also spent some time in Los Angeles and Phoenix where I worked in radio, film and television. Although I miss my home in San Diego, I visit my friends and family often and it's nice to be close by, just up the coast in California. I currently live by the beach, in Pacifica, with my husband, kids (4) and mom."

It's wonderful to see Gianna now. They definitely picked a winner!
