Im 58 yo male Native American, Navajo. Diagnosed with hypothyroid after Graves disease, diabetic, low testosterone, high estrogen, kidney, and liver issues. I have been to about 20 doctors since 2000. All of them stick to the American pyramid diet and tell me to accept being fat with low thyroid. Detrimental for this body. I gained 100 pounds in 24 years. I finally took my life and health into my own hands. Low to zero carb, moderate fat, and protein. Calorie defict. Intermittent fasting 20/4. And excercise. Lots of water and salt. Im down 3 pounds, AM fasting glucose under 95, and overall encouraged by the strict healthy choice. Positive thinking. I told myself I could not, for many years. I wish I knew these things decades ago. Now, April 2024, quit all my meds except for thyroid replacement, that unfortunately is forever....

If any of you are skeptical about Kait’s information, I am living proof that what she is saying is helpful! Last year at this time, I was diagnosed with PCOS, and it made perfect sense. I kept gaining weight, was feeling horrible and tired all the time, and my periods were SUPER irregular. Once I started watching these videos and eating waaaay more protein, my periods started to become more regular! I actually FELT better and more full throughout the day, and it felt better to make these food choices. I still have a ways to go on my weight-loss journey and of course finding better ways to manage stress with lifestyle changes helped, but Kait, I really want to thank you for this lifesaving information ❤

My three macros: Beef, Bacon, and Eggs ! And I agree with you about extending your daily fast. I used to always skip breakfast too. But now I skip dinner instead. No more heartburn, no late night snacking.

Pushing breakfast back an hour or two was the key for me. I never could last till lunchtime so now I have two meals a day - brunch and supper (10-11am and 6-7pm). Finally, found a method that works for me. I make sure I have enough fat and protein at each meal with veggies. I'll have the fat based smoothie option only if I'm out and about or too busy as I always have frozen berries, unsweetened nut butter and vanilla protein powder around (I also add 1 tbs soaked chia seeds and add that to the mix with extra water/ice cubes and 1 tbs cacao or carob powder). In summer, I'll add a zucchini to thicken the mixture and have a smoothie bowl instead! Not sure of the carbs in this but as a T2 diabetic, I haven't seen my blood sugars spike at all.

Hi Kait, I alternate in the mornings from sugar free yogurt with blueberries and strawberries, to eggs and bacon and keto bread. In two months I’ve lost 35 lbs. and I feel so much better. Your videos have helped me gain a lot of knowledge about what and when to eat. Thanks again
Kait for all you do.

Before being Dx as Pre-Diabetic I ate oatmeal with walnuts or peacans and blueberries every morning. I now eat Greek yogurt, blueberries, a scoop of flaxseed meal and a scoop of peanut butter (only peanuts and sea salt) for breakfast. I try to eat scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and a strip of bacon 2x per week, but my yogurt breakfast is so much easier.

You just blew me away with the information that you gave about fat keeps the protein from turning into glucose ! You are the only person i have heard give that information. i’m an older lady and was on keto for several years. i. lost weight to begin with but the weight came back on and i was so discouraged. Thank you for that information!

I appreciated the warning about oat milk! It was the only milk substitute that my coffeeshop offered, and I didn't realize it was bad for insulin resistance. I'll be nixing that! Thank you!

This is very helpful information. I was recently diagnosed with pre-diabetes. Before that, I was eating oatmeal with maple syrup or giant bowls of very sweet fruits. I was consuming at least 4 bananas a day, then having rice or pasta for dinner. I wondered why my weight loss was so slow. Especially because I always intermittent fasted. My doctor had a good talk with me about my eating and strongly urged that I significantly reduce the carbs. He told me to stop this since it will inevitably lead to diabetes. He also set me up with a nutritionist. Thanks to him and videos like this, I am confident that I will reverse my pre-diabetes.

I don't have diabetes, but I like to educate myself on keeping less sugar in my body as I know it's better for you. I honestly can't say I never have it but as I get older I want to make sure I'm eating a lot better

eggs and bacon every morning, and also blueberries walnuts and single cream . Lunch, minced pork with cheese and boiled eggs, evening meal, chicken in garlic and butter with mixed veg and for dessert more nuts and blueberries. My A1c was 111 UK numbers back in Dec 2023, did low carb and 8 weeks later it was down to 68, 8 weeks tested again and down to 62.

Thanks for the great video, Kait! I skip breakfast every day. On days when I only eat one meal, that's usually around 4pm. On days when I eat two meals, the first is at around 1pm and the second is around 5pm. I can usually tell when I need two meals, because I get hungry around noon. If I don't get hungry, it's one meal. Eggs are always a part of every meal that I eat. I love them and they seem to do me good. Bacon is another staple. Occasionally, I throw in some nuts or avocados. On the days with only one meal, it's usually steak and eggs. I always enjoy your videos because I learn something every time. It may not be useful at the moment, but knowledge is a great thing to store, unlike fat! You never know when that information will come in handy. It's nice to see the big picture also. Keep up the good work! And thanks again!

The first thing I have each morning is water with a little lemon while I do resistance training. I wait until 9am to have my coffee. Then around 10 I go for a 30 min walk which involves 100 stairs, come home, and make my first meal of a 2-egg omelet, with mushrooms, cheese, zucchini, 10%fat plain yogurt, some homemade salsa and take my B12 and D3. I may have a boiled egg and a cup of tea in the afternoon, but usually, just have a protein and veggies dinner by 5pm. Water is throughout the day and I stop eating after 5. I am insulin resistant, and started this program a couple of weeks ago. I feel great, and am sleeping better, have no cravings and have more energy. I can't go super low carb as I get shaky so I stick to the rainbow of colours of mostly veggies. I will be retesting my blood sugar at the end of Feb to see what changes have occurred with it, .

Since finding out I has a insulin problem last December; for breakfast I have cut out all fruit juices (OJ) and cereal and oat meal. I still eat bread but its the thin smaller Dave's Killer wheat Bread (looking for high fiber) and have that or 1 tortilla with eggs and bacon pretty much everyday. A quick breakfast would be that wheat toast with almond butter and bacon. It's really tasty. All washed down with a full glass of water. Have had great results this year. Your videos have been particularly informative. Thanks!

I have been doing IF with a carnivore diet for just over 60 days now. I've lost 8.5 lbs. My weight loss is slow because I have to take insulin to regulate blood sugar. My favorite meal to break my fast is steak, or bacon, or ham with cheese and four eggs.

When I eat out for Lunch, I order a cheese omelet with a cooked slice of Ham, or Bacon. I'm full until Dinner. Just started making keto pinwheels, Turkey, Ham, or Roast Beef, Lay flat add 2 TBSP. Cream Cheese at end of meat, Deli Cheese like Cheddar, Swiss, Havarti, add small Cucumber slices, or 2 small Red Pepper Slices on Cream Cheese, then roll, wrap in plastic for morning or lunch meal for next day. Easy to make, and I just get bored with eggs everyday.
