One of the funniest things about Legends is how that old little Star Wars comic makes it so Boba canonically left the pit, only to fall back and then escape again. It's just funny to me.

I like to think that Krayt Dragon ate it. I like the idea of Boba Fett feeling hopeless and just thinking himself. Then he is suddenly freeded when his hope was at its lowest and decides to change his ways. So he just lives by himself in the desert and helps strangers passing by to make up for his past actions.
