Prison guards definitely have one of the hardest jobs out there. Dealing with deadly and dangerous inmates on a day to day basis means keeping your guard up at all times. But sometimes the Prison guards get a little too power-hungry and it's the prisoners who really suffer. Today's video contains graphic imagery and is shocking. Be warned.

Imagine being one among these prisoners suffering from some of the most horrid physical and mental pain a human can experience, all the while being innocent of the crimes you've been accused of...

If these things are happening in first-world prisons, I shudder to think what happens in the rest of the world...

The death penalty is far more merciful than torture.

I find it funny that some people aren't okay with the death penalty but probably don't really care about guards abusing prisoners regardless of what crimes they committed.

I wish I hadn’t watched this. Just another reminder of the boundless cruelty humans are capable of toward other humans.

24 hours in solitary almost broke me. To all the convicts and ex convicts, I respect it. It is cruel and unusual punishment.

That's what always happens when one person is given power over another person. No exceptions.

For that officer who had been sued 3 times at number 2, why was he allowed to go back to work after the first lawsuit (especially given those details)? Unless the plaintiff lost the lawsuit, it’s proven beyond a reasonable doubt and the officer should have been charged with assault.

Years ago during my boot camp days when I was training to be an MP, some of my fellow recruits were training to be correctional officers. The platoon leader of my squad just happened to be in the correctional officer group.
That young lady was totally mad with power. No one likes her, not even the girls she was training with. There was talk of throwing a "blanket party" for her.
Once she left for her next duty station, things were a lot calmer around the barracks.

If only the people that manage the prison tried to live in the prison first.

I worked in the largest jail in the free world, Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles County, for 7 years, starting as a rookie deputy sheriff.

Craziest 7 years of my life.
