The first one does make sense. Because Schmidt is frequently talking about getting dry cleaning done and has gotten SOCKS dry cleaned.

For the age one I honestly think that was just Nick rounding his age up for effect in his conversation with Paul, not an inconsistency

Jess calls Russell’s car the bat mobile in season 1. And then in season 3 at her Halloween party she can’t say “batmobile” She calls it the Batman mobile.

Also during the captain episode Jess said she was weirdly good at volleyball then with the episode of getting coach fired coach made her spike a volleyball and she acted like she didn’t know what she was doing

There's actually another one. On the pilot episode, Coach doesn't know how to deal with Jess. He even ask for Jess' advice on how to talk to girls.
But magically on season 4, on the Girl Fight episode, he's suddenly an expert of girls because he had sisters.
Anyway, I still love New Girl though!

Another one is that Schmidt says he has been in the loft longer than all of them, in a later season it shows the Nick and Winston was there first and Schmidt moved in with them

I have seen every single episode of New Girl at least twice, and I didn't notice any of these.

The land line was the strangest one for me! Whoever wrote the script was likely a lot older than 30 and didn't realize land lines were common into the 2000s.

For the first one when Schmidt doesn’t know how to do laundry- in another episode nick mentions that Schmidt gets his socks dry cleaned so it’s possible that he has all his laundry dry cleaned.

the first one makes perfect sense. he gets everything dry cleaned, that is exactly something his character would do lol.

Jess never mentions a sibling, is always shown without a sibling. and suddenly there is a trouble maker sister for 3 episodes. And then she's gone, only mentioned once more, kind of, but not present ant Nick and Jess's wedding in season 7. Just completely vanishes.

One of the ones I noticed was when in an earlier season Cece mentions to Schmidt that her parents had an arranged marriage and then in season 5 Jess tells Schmidt that Cece’s parents were in a forbidden relationship at first bc their parents didn’t approve.

Winston becoming a cop doesnt go against him being color blind. His friend and fellow cop had night blindness and lost strength in his hands unless he was medicated. In order words, the medical requirement of the LAPD in New Girl World is different than ours

Jess mentions that she has never been to Europe and then in the next episode her and Cece are talking about when they went on a trip to France

"Batman-mobile"! Jess knows how to say "Batmobile" because she said it right when she broke up with Russell. But later in the Halloween episode, she struggled to say it with Cece 😂

It’s crazy how even with so many plot holes and inconsistencies New Girl is still the best show out there, hands down!
