I got my dog from a shelter. She's probably the best dog I've ever known. She never gets into the trash, never goes into the bathroom, never tears up the house. She did try to get out of the backyard once, but after a single correction(being put back in the yard and told "no!" firmly), has never attempted it again. Every shelter she has been to, would keep her as long as they could, and then send her to another shelter because they all loved her too much to be able to put her down. I feel so lucky that she ended up with me.

You are my idol, I love your training techniques, and your dogs, I am only 12 and I have read 3 of your books and I have helped retrain another dog not to beg at the table.

For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕

Hey, Cesar, I have a tip for people who want to get a dog. Most shelters welcome volunteers to walk dogs, maybe they could offer to do that on a regular basis. I just started volunteering at a local Animal Sanctuary, and part of my motivation was to help me get over severe Cynophobia. I just walked a little dog this afternoon. If they really want a dog, it's a good place to start! 🐶

I just bought my pitbull on 14th fab. I called her valentine, I am teaching her exactly how you are saying, she is already playing with other dogs as I work In pet hotel so it will be easy for her to adapt with other animals, i already took her for a walk she was so cool with people, and other animals, and I'm an active person I to for runs, so I watched your videos for 2 weeks and made my decision, now I already know how to train her, thank you Cesar 💪

Caesar you are the best..💕I have a 12 week old lab and she is a ball of energy. My other dog wants nothing to do with her now. I got another dog because one seemed lonely after we put his buddy down.

So if the kitchen, living room, bedroom is off limits - where are they allowed?

What if the kitchen, living room and bedrooms are your entire house? Where do you keep the puppy? We have a tiny home.

That's difficult for a very small puppy like our Shi-Poo. She had never been in a crate but went in with no problem for the ride home. But once home, we tried to follow the scenario described above but the XS harness, which she had never been introduced to, was too large. She only weighs a little over 2 lbs. I've put the harness on her every day for a brief amount of time and we walk around the house. She did take a little walk outside but I'm nervous about larger dogs in the neighborhood and not being able to control her on the leash. I am having problems finding info on how to train one this small. She's very calm and laid back. She is very smart. She's almost learned to "Come" and she does know to sit. We've had her 4 days now and she is using her training pad about 50% of the time. She does not bark and she's sleeping through the night. Yes, you heard it right. I'm afraid something's wrong because she goes to sleep around 9:00-ish and wakes up at 7:00-ish. I think that's not normal. She even did that the first night. But I put her crate on the bedside table beside my bed. I don't talk to her and when I get up I take her crate back to her pen, let her out and she pees on the pad. I just wish there was more help for small dog owners. I love all sizes of dogs but the one I have now is LITTLE!! OMG Very LITTLE!!

Hey guys I just recurs a dog today from the humane society and I already have another dog they get along really well. The new dog which is named Bolo doesn’t know any tricks or abedience or anything. He is a pit mix of some sort and is extremely sweet. He is a year and a half old approximately. He doesn’t even know his name. They think he never had an owner so what should I teach him first. My other dog is 2 and is a pit lab mix and knows sit leave it lay down go to bed stay speak paw and a couple others and he knows his boundaries. What should I begin with for my new dog Bolo. I was thinking 1.teach name (he already comes when you tap your leg and say come here boy or come on) 2. Sit/stay 3. Look at me/leave it. And I’m not sure if he’s house trained he has used the bathroom outside twice now so I think he will be okay in that area. Please help and give feedback!! With my other dog I want to get him to follow me off leash outside.

Get we are told to not walk a new puppy until 16 weeks after they are fully vaccinated... we have a 9 week old Neo Mastiff and have been training him since day one, we’ve had him 6 days and he sits, stays and comes .. we re direct the biting to toys and training for treats . He sleeps through the night and hasn’t even done an accident yet in the house .. we have large yard and it’s all grass and high fences .. we choose his temperament over colour preference and he’s been so chill ... thanks to all your teaching as I’ve watched you for years when I had two highly reactive rescue dogs .
