Small point of correction: Ambaghai was a relative of Genghis Khan but not his great-uncle (his successor Qutula was). Regardless, Genghis will cite the execution of Ambaghai as one of the reasons he massacres the Jin

apparently there is a historian that says a lot of mongol casualties are exaggerated probably by mongol sources to instill fear into the enemy…he says this because some of the numbers shared are so absurd that id doesnt make sense. And there does not seem to be too much archeological evidence…Did you ever read that book?
