The Great Khan was truly humble. All he wanted was the world and immortality. Is that really too much for a man to ask for?

Genghis Khan: "What one must do to achieve immortality?"
Qiu Chuji: "To give up hunting and sex."
Genghis Khan: "... Well, who wants to live forever, anyways?"

"For an elderly man to travel such a distance only to tell the World Conqueror, "no", required quite some courage, and the Khan always respected that."
Don't know why, but this made me think of the "Noble Savage" myth. Genghis Khan seems to be the ideal model of the honorbound "barbarian" in some aspects of his persona.

The guy clearly was familiar with the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

I always get the feeling that the only thing separating Genghis Khan from Hercules was the written record.

If you think about it, we’ve never found his tomb, so there’s no proof that he’s actually dead….

Great video, as usual! Just a quick note from the characters around 2:45 Historically, there is a distinction between pre-imperial schools of thought 家 (jia), as opposed to a broader "learning/teachings" 教 (jiao). As an example, for Taoism, the "School of the Dao" 道家 (daojia) refers to pre-imperial texts such as the Laozi, Zhuangzi and so on. But if one wants to refer to a broader "Taoist Teachings", including imperial and contemporary texts and practices, then it is written 道教 (daojiao). Same goes for Confucianism: the "School of Academics" 儒家 (rujia) for pre-imperial texts (Confucius, Mencius, Xunzi, etc.) and the "Teachings of the Academics" 儒教 (rujiao) for the entirety (+ Sima Qian, Dong Zhongshu, Zhu Xi, etc.) As Buddhism only arrived in China during the imperial Han Dynasty, it is preferable to write Buddhism as "Buddhist Teachings" (佛教 fojiao). The stance "School of the Buddha" (佛家 fojia) can have a political connotation, as in stating that Buddhism is historially on equal grounds to the other pre-imperial schools (家 jia), and as such is as legitimate to the Chinese cultural and intellectual tradition. Such legitimation tactic based on (historically-inacurate) ancient relevance was used by many religious sects whose cosmological elements or teachings were inspired by buddhist elements. (Such "sectarian tradition" can also be seen in some New Ageish Chinese religious movements from the 1980-90's). (I've also seen 家 jia and 教 jiao being used to differentiate intellectual from religious thought, but quite frankly such separation is alien to how these terms were used. Russell Kirkland has discussed this conceptual aspect regarding Taoism.)

The advertisement is a scam. Like the companies that let you "buy a star".
The Scottish courts have ruled that this does not give you a legal title.
You can call yourself whatever you want and print your own certificate, without forking over your hard earned cash. it's just as legitimate.

But Genghis Khan already received one such of immortality that his names, powers, empires, etc, would be told generations until the worlds end.

"Great last minute gift" is a good euphemism for "Crappy gift, but it will have to do in a pinch"
