You need Driver for VCI USB, i had the same problem.

You clicked update before you clicked test. So your unit is toast and you may need new firmware by soldiring pins. A new driver will not fix this as it is the unit that is toast not your p.c So I will like to know how the other guy fixed it by pc driver and not unit firmware
