In countries like these where they have hurricane season every single year, then it's very important to build the whole house (roof as well) out of concrete, with hurricane proof windows and doors, and with steel protection in front of the windows.

Then they will survive a hurricane without a problem next time.

I live in St. Patrick, Grenada. We got the hardest hit on the mainland. The damage was mindblowing.
I went up to Carriacou because it's my go-to place to relax.
When I saw the devastation, I was overwhelmed with sadness.
