I loved this tutorial. I used to sew a lot on this machine, but it's been a while, and i'd forgotten how to thread it. I had almost given up and was about to try and hand-sew an entire dress, but then i found this!! Thank you so much!

You completely missed the coolest part of this little machine! The AUTOMATIC needle threading mechanism!!! It's that little piece hovering above the needle, pull it down and push it forward so the thread hook enters the eye of the needle, when you release it- the hook will pull the thread through. The best explanation I've found is done by Jonathon Pershouse, youtube it! It's an amazing and convenient feature on this machine.

You missed the last metal hook. I also love the automatic threader that is included in this machine.

U forgot to slide the thread in the skinny flot above the needle. it holds the thread in line,

Thanks man... bought this as a gift for a family member who loves to sew but wasn't sure how to use this machine. I guess she was use to a different type of machine. This video gave me the basic info I needed to get her started. Now she is sewing like the pro that she is!

I'm having a HORRIBLE time controlling the speed of my XL2600i. Maybe it's because I've been using a 45 year old Necci until now, but practicing doesn't seem to help at all...I've tried stitch guides...everything. It's just too fast to even stitch in a straight line, rendering it completely unusable at this point. Any suggestions you can offer would be great. Thanks! :)
