The hosts did a great job and I’m so happy that Wanda wasn’t afraid to call Will Smith out for his actions.

Chris handled it so well and him apologising to Wanda is a reflection of his good character. My heart goes out to all of them.

The fact that Chris took that slap on the face, kept himself composed, smoothly continued hosting, and even apologized to Wanda and other hosts... says a lot about his character. He's a professional. He's considerate to others' feelings even after having to face his past trauma. Kudos to him.

Props to Wanda for saying this. I applauded her right from home. Major respect for saying what what needed to be said.

I'm glad hearing Wanda said that. Unlike most of celebrities, this woman doesnt feel the need to mooch off from 'a list' celebrities just to be liked.

Glad some people actually live in reality. Wanda's take on the situation is exactly how I felt.

Wanda you all did a great job but I am so happy to hear someone coming to Chris's defense watching this interview I actually was sad because you are both right it affected everybody and I don't think people really realize it until you spoke up

Wanda hit the nail right on the head..the fact that Will could just go back to his seat was appalling..and then receive his Oscar was sickening..and the applause and ovation he also got was a shameful response to his actions..Chris was the Rock that night...good on him..he was the better man for sure

The fact that people gave him a standing ovation, let him stay and get consoled by other A list actors means that he was in control of that whole room. I appreciate Wanda Sykes saying the same thing that I thought while we all watched him laugh and enjoy himself after what he did. There was no immediate repercussions to his violent behavior and he went off to the after parties like nothing happened. He only became embarrassed and apologetic because of the backlash.

Wanda is a legend. She has been consistently hilarious for ever. She deserved so much better.

Wanda spoke all facts. Good to know she is a true friend. Too many in the industry kept silent or on the wrong side of an assault they literally witnessed. Shame on these people.

She hit the nail on the head about how sickening it was to see him be allowed to stay there and then win the award.

The way so many people romanticizing violence is shocking. I am a woman. If my husband 'defended' me that way, I will be embarrassed, period! Kudos to Chris for being professional and continuing on stage.

Thank you Wanda. You are genuine. The people in that room are faked. It's incredible that they even cheered on the acceptance speech. Chris is a class act- RESPECT!
