Wanda Sykes Tells Ellen DeGeneres the Will Smith & Chris Rock Incident Was ‘Sickening’

Wanda Sykes is speaking out about Will Smith and Chris Rock's Oscars altercation from her perspective. The comedian, who co-hosted the award show with Regina Hall and Amy Schumer, broke down her thoughts on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week. "It was sickening … I physically felt ill, and I'm still a little traumatized by it. For them to let him stay in that room and enjoy the rest of the show and accept his award, I was like, 'How gross is this? This is just the wrong message,'" she said.

She s 100% right. I was so disgusted, too. Will and Jada have absolutely no class. 1. Will had the nerve to call himself a vessel of love some minutes later. 2. Jada said it was the season for healing. Really? That s all? How about Chris Rock talking about healing? Get a life. If you really are so upset about alopecia, then go see a therapist. Or wear a wig and hide it, when you are not able to be above it all and act like a mature person. Everyone wants to raise awareness about this and that. And if you are not able to brush off a lousy joke like an adult, then you really have to solve some issues.

I find it odd that in 2018, Jada (I'm paraphrasing) says I started to look at it (alopecia) through a spiritual perspective. The higher power takes everyday. People have cancer, people have sick children. And by golly it's just hair. All I can do is laugh about it.
Unfortunately Chris didn't get Jada's memo that she changed her mind.

Will Smith laughs at the joke, then feels guilty and knows he's in for a very moody, ride home in the limo. So Smith then slaps Rock to save his own skin and feel good about himself (see: guilt complex about not defending his mother as possible subconscious trigger). Look at the expression of empowerment on his face; you think that's for for his wife? The shouting and swearing were done to reinforce and validate the 'authenticity' of his reaction as being motivated by sympathy. It was not. Will Smith was basically saving his own skin, which is what his acceptance speech was about. If he and his wife had just left in silence and refused to receive the Oscar for best actor, then THAT would have been worthy of a standing ovation.

Jada has broken Will down to the point this man doesn't know what kind of man he should be. Should he be funny? Should he be more dominate? Should he be sweet? Should he be aggressive. He probably feels he will never be good enough for Jada and this has made it worse.
