Whenever I watch these movies with my nephew, ha always asks, "What is Herbie saying?" So I make my own lines for the litte car! Here are the Herbie Quotes that I use for this scene here.

I'm surprised Herbie lets these bad guys gain access to him. Like how he let Thorndyke pour Irish coffee into his gas tank so he lost the next race. Or when Thorndyke's right-hand man Havershaw sabotages him before the El Dorado road race.

If my memory is correct this was the first Herbie movie that I ever watched. I never really knew about the love bug as being the first movie. I absolutely love a good portion of this movie even though it's not a racing movie. I think the part that I remember the most is when Alonzo Hawk has that nightmare. It was both terrifying to me as a child but also laughable.
