I'm impressed that Ramsey lets these people talk without interrupting them, and lets them complete their thoughts and sentences before answering them. Most people won't let you get 4 or 5 words spoken before they interrupt and start arguing with you.

My husband is in poor health. We are in our 60s. We have $150k in two step CDs at about 4.5% (9 months each). We sleep better at night knowing we have the money secure/low risk and can get to it for medical bills or a care facility if needed.

I would ladder the CDs with different maturity dates. That way it isn't locked all to one date.
