How to replace a timing belt, and water pump, on an f22, or f23 4 cylinder Accord. This is the same Aisin kit #TKH-006 for some Acura CL, and Odyssey vans with the F engine within these years.

This is the best timing belt video for a Honda on the internet. I play it and listen every time I do one for a good chuckle

Great video man. Really enjoyable and informative. Wish I had your experience. I have an 01 accord with an F23a1 that has 280k miles and could use some attention to the leaking rear main seal and some likely leaks on the front side of the motor that are cost prohibitive to have a garage repair them. Nonetheless, videos such as yours help further the understanding of those that have no background in auto repair and a great place to learn.

Can't thank you enough for this video. I just finsished changing the timing belt and water pump on a 2000 Accord. It took me a long time as I had back track a few missed steps, misplaced a bolt or two and stripped one of the water pump bolts. Not sure I would have gotten it done without this video and some other helpful ones I found. As for the repair of the M6-1 bolt, I was able to use a helicoil kit. It took me the better part of a day just for this repair since there was very little space to work in.

I have the Non vtec 2.2l 95 Accord wagon 195, 000. I had to send it into the shop for no start issue (no time to sus it out).
"That fuel pump was definitely bad, I put power to it. But it still has that hesitation on start up tho."🤷🏻‍♂️
Me: (WTH?🤔)
Week later wouldnt start again, poked around for a few days-tune up (needed it), Main relay-nada.
Then, paper clipped the odb no flashes on the CEL=DEAD COMPUTER!!
Im no mechanic but, I didnt charge myself $450 for a fuel pump I didnt need either!!
Maybe with your help timing belt in 25k miles?🤷🏾‍♂️
Car runs like a dream.❤️

Great video, thank you for sharing!!!

Had one, she leaked from the valve cover, needed a VTEC solenoid and crank sensor… ran from 90k to 174k before I sold it, no issues at all after fixing them issues. Great first car

Great video. I'll be doing this on my sons car soon. You're right about the pitted metal under the water pump can leak. I've also rubbed some sealant on the pitted metal face that a gasket mounts up to, after it is clean.

Since I got a weighted socket which I was skeptical about, I haven't had to use the special tool to loosen the crank pulley bolt. Great video.

Great video. Had this ragged accord for 10 years, have torn into this 3 times. There are 2 holes in the balance shaft I didn't get it right with the bolt, thanks for the marks the Mr. Hayney manual didn't show. It ran fine with the balance out but seems to play havoc with the shift points for some reason.

Yeah, my 2000 Honda accord needs a transmission rebuild and a main engine rear seal replaced👍I have to pick my car up this Monday after a water pump replacement kit, same kit used here, was placed.

Despite the leaks, that accord looks much better then some of the ones I’ve seen at least engine wise. Even has a factory alternator in it.
