I use to go over that Charlestown bridge that they pan onto in this clip a few times a week. The North End, the Italian neighborhood in Boston, is to the left after you go over this bridge. It’s some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had and I lived in Naples, Italy for a short time in the late 90’s. I love Boston. Such a cool town. So much history.

I watched the original cut at the cinema then 4 nights in a row on blu-ray when it came out. I then watched the directors cut and the pacing completely changes, as does the way you view each character. I can certainly say that for myself, the cut that the studio forced to happen actually turned out to be the best for me

So as a film fan I can’t decide who I should hate… the general audience who don’t care for films and like them as short as possible… or the studio execs who choose to appeal to people who don’t give af about films.

What the fuck am I supposed to do when I as a film fan am being deprived of these longer cuts?
