In this video, I'm testing Spydercos' new Native 5 Salt In Magnacut. Alot of cardboard cutting to see how long it stays sharp. I'm no professional, so take everything with a grain of salt.

I can almost guarantee Spyderco did an amazing job with the heat treatment. They didn’t rush out magnacut like everyone else and usually they run there steels hard.

Great Video.. Looks like Spyderco got HRC up above 62... It's crazy that you can get that kind of performance set of a truly stainless steel.

So Damm good edge retention and the blade or better yet that whole knife can't rust. Spyderco left a salt series knife in the Salton sea which is 10 times the salinity of the ocean and had pretty much zero rust. The only little spot they thought was bad is where they Lazer etch the logo on the blade and it wiped right off with a finger rub. Can't go wrong working around water and this knife

More tests please. Also a baseline say s30v for comparison. Thx

They actually been running on the lower side say 61 hrc average and i don't know why when larrin said specifically "63-64 is the sweet spot ". Maybe this was in the beginning especially with mules more or less? I still think cruwear is a better performing steel notwithstanding corrosion resistance.
