For those of you beyotching about the yellow scales THE SALT SERIES IS YELLOW. The only one that is Black is the Aqua Salt. I would LOVE an Aqua Salt in OG yellow, I would be a fraud and a larper with it, but I still want one.

For around 15yrs now I've edc'd a Spyderhawk in H1 steel, iwb- for at times 24hrs a day, weeks on end. Far north Queensland, Australia- notoriously humid, especially on the coast... Use it on anything/ everything without hesitation.
Not a speck of rust- at all. Love it.

You are dead on, they really absolutely killed it on the MC. Why I love spydie so much, they really really put the effort in to dialing in the heat treatments. The MC mule was done well, the MC native is done substantially better!

What happened with your survival knife hunt?

Got one months ago and put it on the Wicked Edge at a 21 degree angle all the way down to the .05 micron strop. Then I tested the edge. It registered at 61, then, and still is in the sixties. As an example a brand new razor blade tests in the forties. I haven't sharpened it since. It does get stropped weekly or after any moderate use and I use it to shave in the shower. I swim in chlorinated water with it for testing purposes as well, no, none, zero rust.

I hate the color but love the utility it has but the real question is does this make sense to have a folder that’s resistant to rust when the bushings that are inside might rust

H1 is a wicked steel, at least in my experience, but these new yellow salt series knives look so nice, wish I could afford the manix 2 lightweight, getting one in Canada runs for over 200$
